What is Fascia Wrap

Fascia wrap is a custom formed aluminum covering that is formed into the shape of a large J or and L to encase the exposed fascia board on your home.  Facia wrap is installed underneath the metal drip edge on your roofing system and bends around the bottom of the board.  Traditionally we use 027 thickness prefinished aluminum to manufacture our fascia wrap.  We have a standardized color palate that is engineered to match modern and common home colors.

Benefits of Facia Wrap

Here in Arizona, one of our most difficult hurdles with exteriors is the high intensity of sunlight.  What we experience is the steady degradation of all exterior wood products, as well as any field applied paint product, especially on the fascia boards.  Our aluminum fascia wrap is factory finished not painted.  It is done in a controlled environment and engineered to withstand the UV index we have here in Arizona.  Higher elevation parts of our great state are even more susceptible as the atmosphere blocks less and less as you go higher and higher.  Interlocking into the roof system fascia wrap also turns the susceptible wood fascia of your home into a water tight system.  Preventing water intrusion, insect destruction, mold, and rot growth. In fact most new construction projects in northern areas and the snow belt they are using metal cladding exclusively.  Some tend to think that we don’t experience the same harsh weather conditions as the snow belt.  They would be correct in consideration of precipitation.  Except when you consider the enormous variances we experience in Arizona, its worse even.  Its common place to be freezing at 7am and 50-60f or higher at 2pm on the same day.  Or during monsoons going from 10-15% humidity to 100% humidity for a few hours in the afternoon.  These fluctuations are exactly the thing that facilitates intrusion and degradation, from condensation to ice damming. Just fill a glass with ice water on a summer day and watch it grab water right out of the air!

Prescott Valley Aesthetics Curb Appeal

The installation of fascia wrap on your home is an instant transformation that will be the envy of your neighborhood.  Oftentimes within the first few days of installation we receive feedback from our customers, who have had neighbors, and even totally random people stop by their home to ask questions about what it is and who did it.  I think we have all seen how traditional wood fascia tends to twist, bow, split, and pull apart at the corners.  With perfectly straight metal we form our fascia wrap slightly larger than the wood.  This allows us to compensate for that twist and crooked appearance of the fascia on your home. The corners get underlapped overlapped as well.  So no more ugly corners.  Custom metal fascia wrap gives your home a smooth and Seamless appearance.  Call Seamless Solutions today for a complimentary consultation.

Insurance and Environment in Arizona

Wildfires are an ever present possibility here in the southwest!  Its not if we will get hit with a fire, its when.  Insurance companies have identified, for years now, that the eve or overhang of your roof is a prime area for fires to move from brush and vegetation alongside your home to your home itself.  Some companies even offer discounts when home owners have metal cladding installed in this area.  Imagine what traditional fascia board really is.  A long skinny and oftentimes rough surfaced piece of seasoned firewood.  Any uncovered fascia board is a disaster waiting to happen in the event of a natural disaster.

Prefinished aluminum fascia wrap only has to be installed once and the finish on fascia wrap lasts well over twenty years. Here in northern Arizona paint on top of wood typically only survives five years.  So by the time you have owned your home for two decades you would have had to paint the fascia, caulk the fascia, and repair the facia four to five times!  The carbon emissions of manufacturing and using that much paint far exceeds the environmental cost of manufacturing and installing the aluminum once.  That is all without mentioning the solvents and disposal issues of paint.  Aluminum can be recycled after it is damaged or unwanted, it doesn’t rust, and you actually get paid by recyclers to bring it in.  That’s a far cry from trying to dispose of old liquid paint, most dumps wont even take it because of the problems with it.

The common sense approach with Fascia Wrap is how we at Seamless Solutions operate categorically.  Call Seamless Solutions today and ask us how we can Seamlessly change your home into something you can be more than proud of.  Something that’s helping save you money and protect the environment at the same time.
